2017.
Farewell.
Goodbye.
Let’s not meet again.
I’m fairly certain I’m not the only one thinking this year was not the best ever. I’m pretty thrilled to be saying “See Ya Never” to this year. For a lot of reasons. Politics. Stress. Anxiety. Heath. National crisis after National crisis.
I think most of my friends have described this year as tiring. We marched. We tweeted. We took to the polls. We wished we would wake up from this odd odd dream we are living in.
Outside of politics, it felt like most of my friends / acquaintances were dealing with a lot. I know that this was the year I really started to deal with my lifelong anxiety issues. Facing it, and other issues that I’ve started to get to the bottom to, was not easy. It wasn’t pretty. There were a lot of sleepless nights.
So yes, 2017, did teach me some things.
And yes, there were high points. Including:
1. Marching with friends for women’s rights. (But also seriously – why is this something we still need to do?)
2. Time with close, true friends.
3. All of the Cleveland sports (of course!).
4. Concerts, Outings and all things CLE.
But obviously, I’m beyond ready to start the new year.
Bring it on, 2018. Bring. It. On.
